I say, thank you, because in hundreds of different ways, you have been for me a light:

A light revealing your special love for me;
A light softening the fears inherent in blindness;
A light sparking my zeal for the Kingdom;
A light igniting new hopes, new dreams, and new visions of what can be;

A light healing scars and wounds of a pilgrim on the journey;
A light dispelling the darkness of the unknown;
A light warming and refueling my call to follow Jesus as did my saintly foundress, Lucy Filippini;
And a light that glows giving a special radiance to life experiences.

Now that I have made the transition from this life to a new life, I promise to hold each of you in my heart and to be your advocate before the throne of God.

My prayer for you is, "Let your light shine before all that they may see the good that you do and give glory to God, the Source of all light."
